Claypot Asian Food Kitchen (Mcmahon)

We had the pleasure of dining here and everything was outstanding—from the friendliness of the staff and owner, the decor, the artistic projections on the wall, and of course the food! We had a variety of dishes and were blown away by how good they were from the presentation, to the amazing taste! It was obvious that the dishes were created with passion and lot of talent. We had the flaming Dongpo chicken wings and they were the best! The Sake cured Salmon and Tuna was amazing as well. We had the Duck Breast Claypot and the flavours were incredible—the meat tender and flavourful and the rice had nice textures with extra crispiness where it touched the claypot. The experience was so good we came back later in the week. This time we had the smoked beef brisket with Bao and the Prime Rib Chimichurri. Both were just amazing—the bao was tender and the brisket delicious. The prime rib dish was excellent—the best I’ve had—with an incredible flavor profile! Also, the cocktails are really great too! Needless to say we highly recommend Claypot Asian Food Kitchen to anyone who wants a unique and wonderful dining experience and we can’t wait to come back again!!

Claypot Asian Food Kitchen is a gem of a restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious here. You get upscale luxury dining food with neighborhood prices. Really great value for the exceptional quality of food. All the dishes I had were delicious and beautifully presented. The stir fried mala roasted beef with wide noodle was phenomenal. The beef melts in your mouth with a rich depth of flavour and the noodles are freshly home made So yummy! The crispy soft shelled crab was wonderful-each crispy bite made me want to have more. The salt and pepper shrimp was also amazing with a generous pile of large succulent shrimp with perfectly crisp tempura. The ginger beef was tasty with the combination of crispness and the sweet ginger sauce - highly addictive. I topped off the meal with a delicious mango pudding dessert. This was a great dining experience with warm friendly staff in relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful mural of light art. It is trendy and fun but also peaceful and a great place to connect with friends and family. I look forward to going again!

A uni prof recommended this place to us as a must try spot and she did not disappoint! We had the smoked beef brisket bao bun, dongpo chicken wings, Dan Dan noodles, and the halibut and conch clay pot rice, in this order. Every plate was beautifully plated and tasted super fresh. - The bao was light and airy and a great appetizer to start the meal. - From the flaming presentation to the thin and crisp texture of the batter and the burst of sweet and savory heat. The Dongbo chicken wings are a must have. Move aside Korean fried chicken, there a new kind of chicken in town. - hand made noodles from their kitchen tossed in a spicy sesame sauce was another flavor punch for the taste buds. I asked for mild but the heat was definitely still at medium/hot, and finally - the halibut cheek and conch clay pot rice. This had a milder and more delicate in flavor compared to the earlier dishes. In hindsight, I probably should've tried this before the wings and spicy noodles. With the spiciness from those dishes still lingering in my mouth, I can't give it a just review.
